When I was still living in the states, I worked at a Safe House for victims of Domestic Violence and Rape/Sexual Assault.

I loved my job. But sometimes it was Tough.

If you or someone you know is being abused, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233). Most major cities and urban areas have Safe Houses that are used to house victims of DV and RSA and this Hotline can help put you in touch with one close to you.

Or if you have any questions about Domestic Violence and Rape/Sexual Assault, this website is a great resource {http://www.ncadv.org/} as is this one {http://www.rainn.org/}.

Our greatest advocate against this is Education. So Educate yourself and those around you. Know the warning signs and don’t be afraid to reach and and help someone in need. You could be the one to save their life.
